Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Platform & Site Reliability
Location: Nottingham, UK | Team: LSEG Risk Intelligence Engineering
Are you passionate about building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms that power global Risk Intelligence products? We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help drive innovation, implement modern DevOps practices, and contribute to the evolution of our cloud‑native infrastructure.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Automate full‑stack infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitOps workflows.
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.
* Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, traffic management, and observability.
* Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with development and business goals.
* Continuously improve systems through automation, performance tuning, and process optimization.
* Contribute to our DevOps culture, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Cloud expertise in AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).
* Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation.
* Container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS), Istio Service Mesh.
* CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI (preferred), Jenkins, Bitbucket.
* Scripting & automation: Bash/Shell, Python.
* Security best practices: IAM, KMS, encryption in transit/at rest.
* Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
* Agile & DevOps culture: GitOps, SRE principles, Agile methodologies.
* 4+ years in DevOps or platform engineering roles.
* Proven experience building and operating cloud‑native platforms.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* A passion for automation, developer enablement, and continuity.
