Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their dynamic team in Macclesfield.
You’ll gain hands-on project experience across retail, cinemas, leisure, and mixed-use schemes, while receiving support to complete your Part 3 qualification (fully funded by the practice).
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of drawings, designs, and technical information using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
* Work closely with senior architects and clients to develop design concepts.
* Support project delivery across all RIBA stages.
* Contribute to presentations, reports, and visualisations for client meetings.
* Create 3D models and visualisations using SketchUp.
* Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
* Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and address any challenges that arise.
* Conduct research on materials, methods, and technologies relevant to ongoing projects.
* Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports for project stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the design process.
Qualifications
* RIBA Part 2 qualification.
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
* Creative and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong understanding of construction principles and system design methodologies.
* Experience in creating detailed schematics and technical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
* Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
