Maintenance / Handyman – Full-Time Permanent Role
£30,000 per annum + Overtime
Company Vehicle Provided | Private Medical | Paid Travel & Accommodation
Based in East Midlands with Travel to Bournemouth
About Us
We’re Healthy Hearing, a growing, family-run business with seven hearing care centres—five in the East Midlands and two in Bournemouth. Our success is built on the quality of care we offer our clients and the pride we take in our well-maintained, welcoming premises.
We’re now looking for a hands-on, multi-skilled Maintenance / Handyman who’s practical, adaptable, and takes real satisfaction in fixing, improving, and maintaining all sorts of spaces and fittings. If you enjoy variety and don’t mind getting stuck in, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for maintenance, minor repairs, and improvements across our sites. The work is varied and hands-on, and will include:
* General maintenance across seven centres
* Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
* Painting and decorating
* Fitting shelves, laying carpet tiles, assembling furniture
* Supporting shop refits and room upgrades
* Moving equipment and handling ad hoc practical tasks
You’ll need to travel regularly to our Bournemouth centres. Some overnight stays (including occasional weeks) will be required—always with travel, hotel, and food expenses covered.
What You’ll Need
* Good all-round maintenance and repair skills
* Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and carpentry
* Practicality, resourcefulness, and independence
* Flexibility with working hours—some early starts and later finishes, balanced by quieter days
* Full UK driving licence
What We Offer
* £30,000 salary + overtime
* Company double-cab vehicle for business use
* Private medical insurance (after qualifying period)
* 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
* All travel, accommodation, and food expenses covered when working away
* Full training provided as needed
* Company events and a friendly, fair-play culture
* The chance to work with a team that values your contribution and genuinely enjoys what they do
Is This You?
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys making things work—and work well. You’re hands-on, reliable, and practical, and you’ll take real pride in keeping our buildings looking and functioning at their best.
