The Director of IT and Digital is a senior leader responsible for shaping, delivering and continuously developing Coastland College’s digital vision. The postholder will provide strategic and operational leadership for IT Services, digital infrastructure, cyber security, data systems, and learning technologies across both campuses.
Working as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, the postholder will ensure that the College’s digital environment supports outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, efficient business operations, and a safe, modern, robust technical infrastructure. Whilst reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Director of IT and Digital will also work closely with the Deputy Principal and Assistant Principal – Curriculum & Quality to drive innovation in learning technology, ensuring students and staff benefit from cutting-edge digital, hi-tech and interactive resources.
This role includes full leadership of the IT Services team, responsibility for the IT and Digital Strategy, and the development of a forward-looking digital roadmap aligned to the College’s 2030 strategic plan.

Coastland College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants should be aware that safeguarding checks will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process. The successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
This role involves regular contact with children and young people and is considered regulated activity under the relevant safeguarding legislation. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the highest standards of child protection and follow all statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education.
