The Role
Due to continued success and rapid expansion, we are seeking an accomplished Team Leader to spearhead our Primary Education division across Essex. This is a strategic \"player-coach\" position designed for a high-performing recruiter who excels in a 360° capacity while possessing the natural leadership acumen to mentor and scale a dedicated team.
You will be the bridge between the region's best schools and top-tier educational talent, maintaining a high-billing personal desk while optimising the collective output of your consultants to capture a dominant share of the Essex market.
Key Responsibilities
* Division Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the Essex Primary desk, ensuring KPIs are met through proactive mentorship and strategic performance management.
* 360° Recruitment Excellence: Drive the full recruitment life cycle—from high-level business development and securing preferred supplier status to sourcing and matching candidates using the latest tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.).
* Strategic Business Development: Generate new client relationships and grow existing accounts by identifying further sales opportunities and conducting regular school visits across the county.
* Workflow Optimisation: Leverage our sophisticated offshore support functions and internal L&D training to streamline compliance and admin, keeping your team focused on revenue-generating activities.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain a high-visibility field presence in Essex, complemented by weekly strategic alignment meetings at our London headquarters.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Sector Proficiency: A demonstrable track record of success within Education Recruitment is essential (Primary/SEN background preferred).
* Leadership Pedigree: Proven experience in a supervisory or senior mentoring capacity; you should be able to articulate how you have influenced a team’s growth.
* Operational Mobility: A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are mandatory for extensive field-based activity.
* Commercial Acumen: You must be a \"billing leader\" who leads by example, showcasing sophisticated negotiation skills and a passion for making a real difference in schools.
