DWF is seeking a Bid Manager to drive the bid process and support business growth. Working closely with a collaborative, high‑performing team, you’ll lead on creating persuasive, high‑quality bid materials that make a real impact. This hybrid role can be based from any of our national offices on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Responsibilities
* Manage the bid process from start to finish, ensuring all standard firm information is readily available for pitches and tenders.
* Develop best practices and stay current with the latest techniques and methodologies to improve bid success.
* Work closely with stakeholders to offer both strategic and tactical support in developing winning propositions.
* Conduct pre‑tender scoping, bid/no‑bid assessments, and post‑bid debriefs.
* Regularly report on activity and success rates, while providing coaching on tender best practices and presentation skills to fee‑earners and the broader marketing and business development team.
* Offer guidance on general business development activities and maintain the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Essential Qualifications
* Proven experience in managing end‑to‑end bid processes, including bid/no‑bid decisions and debriefs.
* Considerable knowledge of bid development best practices, techniques, and methodologies.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously.
* Effective communicator with experience providing coaching on tendering and presentation skills to teams.
* Skilled in working with stakeholders to create strategic, winning bid propositions.
* Experience with activity tracking and reporting on bid success rates.
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous experience in business development support within a professional services environment.
* Ability to provide strategic advice on general business development activities.
* Familiarity with creating standard pitch and tender materials for organizational use.
* Considerable analytical skills for conducting pre‑tender scoping and competitor analysis.
