About the School
This is an Alternative Schooling and Residential Provision catering to children and young people (ages 11-17) with various SEN, including Highly Sexualised behaviours, SEMH, Attachment Disorder, Autism, ADHD, Aggression, and those from Broken homes.
Role Overview
Your role involves supporting the class teacher, support staff, and multi-agency teams to devise learning and care plans. You will encourage children and young people to reach their full potential.
You will be required to set clear boundaries, manage triggers of challenging behaviour, and support children academically, emotionally, and socially.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate:
* Experience working with challenging behaviour within an education, secure, residential, or support setting.
* HLTA qualification or equivalent (graduates encouraged to apply).
* Knowledge and experience in writing reports, risk assessments, and education plans.
* Experience working in or similar to settings such as challenging SEN provisions, youth/community/social services, residential support, ex-military, police, prison, security services, or mental health support services (including crisis or suicide prevention).
* Ideally trained in Team Teach, MAPA, NAPPI, or Pillars (desired but not necessary).
* Possession of a clear enhanced DBS registered with the update service (we can provide details on how to start a new application).
* Ability to provide a full career history and two referees.
