Overall purpose of the role: Barclays are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Oversight Compliance Specialist to join a supportive team in Glasgow. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute significantly to a major financial institution, supporting key business areas and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
* Support business and product stakeholders with compliance and conduct issues related to product and customer journey changes, including mortgages, insurance, and savings accounts.
* Review risk packs and produce Management Information (MI).
* Identify and resolve compliance issues, providing proactive advice and guidance.
* Support customers and stakeholders through regulatory changes.
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Experience
* Proven experience in a compliance role within retail banking.
* Strong understanding of the UK regulatory landscape, including Consumer Duty.
* Experience with MCOBs, ICOBs, or PROD is highly desirable.
* Previous experience at Barclays is a significant advantage, but not a requirement.
* Experience with the FCA or in a consultancy environment would be beneficial.
* Knowledge of relevant handbooks and regulatory guidelines.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
