Job Title: Java Developer/Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days in office per week)
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum

The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer/Engineer to join our London-based technology team. You will work on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications that support our digital platforms and customer-facing services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and microservices.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UX, and QA to deliver innovative solutions.
3. Participate in full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
4. Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
5. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills & Experience:
7. Strong experience in Java (Java 8+) development.
8. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
9. Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).
10. Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing SQL queries.
11. Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration.
12. Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
13. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Desirable Skills:
14. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
15. Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, Angular, React).
16. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
