Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Fellow ST1/2 in Gynaecological Oncology at Southend Hospital.
Overview
We are a very popular training unit and have received the RCOG award for Top Training unit in the UK for Overall Satisfaction, Gynecology training, and Professional development. In 2017 we were within the Top 10 training units in the country.
Responsibilities
* Assist and part in the Gynaecological Oncology service, gaining exposure to multidisciplinary clinics, operating theatre, MDT meetings, and liaising with team members.
* Participate in general functioning of the Directorate, attending clinics, ward rounds, and operating sessions as appropriate.
* Provide continuing responsibility for the care of women in charge and contribute to the functioning of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Division.
* Maintain high standards of clinical record keeping and communicate effectively with patients, midwives and general practitioners.
* Contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, midwives and nurses.
* Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care and running of the clinical department.
Qualifications
* GMC Registration.
* At least three years’ experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at a junior level.
