<div><h3>About this job</h3><p>The Service Manager will provide operational leadership for Alexandra Wellbeing House, a short‑term mental health retreat service delivered by Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind in partnership with Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust.</p><p>The service supports adults aged 18 experiencing acute emotional distress and aims to provide earlier intervention, prevent escalation to crisis and reduce the need for inpatient admission.</p><p>The successful candidate will lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of practitioners and counsellors to deliver safe, high‑quality and person‑centred support within a welcoming and recovery‑focused environment.</p><ul><li>Leading the day‑to‑day operational management of Alexandra Wellbeing House.</li><li>Providing leadership, supervision, support and development to staff and volunteers.</li><li>Ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred and trauma‑informed mental health support.</li><li>Working collaboratively with Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust, Crisis Teams, Community Mental Health Teams, Emergency Department teams and third‑sector partners to strengthen referral pathways and improve outcomes.</li><li>Supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of the service in collaboration with senior leadership and external partners.</li><li>Managing safeguarding, risk assessment and incident reporting processes in line with organisational policies and procedures.</li><li>Monitoring service quality, performance and outcomes, including producing reports for commissioners and stakeholders.</li><li>Reviewing feedback from people accessing the service to support continuous improvement and best practice.</li><li>Promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive culture for both staff and people using the service.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with health and safety, data protection, safeguarding and organisational policies.</li><li>Supporting partnership working, networking and promotion of the service across Gloucestershire.</li></ul><p>The role requires strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, alongside experience of managing mental health or wellbeing services and working collaboratively across statutory and voluntary sector organisations.</p><p>The postholder will participate in an on‑call rota and will be required to work on site within Gloucestershire.</p><p>Travel across the county may also be required.</p><p>Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.</p></div>
