Profile – Production Engineer
Our client is the world leader in the design and manufacture of precision products for the medical sector. They currently require a Senior Production Engineer to lead and support production improvement projects.
Job Role – Production Engineer
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Senior Production Engineer shall research, design, develop, and test new products from initial inception through to volume manufacture, creating device history files, and setting and maintaining achievable quality parameters.
Assist in devising, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the best manufacturing/production methods and techniques to improve controllability, quality, and reduce costs.
Duties – Production Engineer
1. Ensuring on-time delivery of projects
2. Preparation and maintenance of design dossiers, drawings, process, and product validations through manufacture and testing
3. Creation, control, and maintenance of supporting product documentation
4. Continual improvement of current manufacturing processes
5. Liaise with other departments on topics including NPI, technical documentation, design/development, validation, and quality
6. Liaising with suppliers to ensure we have suitable up-to-date tooling and processes
7. Creating and maintaining product records within the company's ERP system
8. Adherence to Quality Management Systems requirements
9. Procedure/technical documentation writing
10. Compliance with all statutory regulations and company procedures.
Experience/Qualifications – Production Engineer
1. A HNC in Mechanical / Electrical engineering or similar with a proven record of machine programming, project management, and NPI
2. An understanding and capability of operating CAD software
3. Experience / Knowledge of Programming and setting CNC machinery
