This is an exciting role in the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure that the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all internal audit standards, and remains fit for the future.
The role's duties and responsibilities include:
Forming a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including options for improvements.
Implementing recommendations from this review, such as:
Assessing distribution of monies
Evaluating KPIs
Developing and delivering innovative ways of working
Additional responsibilities may include:
Implementing recommendations from internal delivery audits
Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation
Driving Area Hazardous Waste activities and increasing visibility
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing team within the Regime Regulation team of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead the business on hazardous waste, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure proper management of hazardous waste.

Experience and Skills Required

This is a flexible/hybrid role with an EA Office base location. Some travel and overnight stays may be required. We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel.
