Job Summary
Responsible for carrying out tasks related to the decontamination process, including the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packing, and sterilisation of medical instruments and equipment. These items are prepared to ensure they are safe and ready for use in patient treatment across Theatres, Wards, and other clinical departments, in compliance with established protocols and infection control standards.

This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health. Main duties of the job
Carry out all tasks associated with the decontamination process, including:
Cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packing, and sterilisation of medical instruments and equipment.
Ensuring all items are prepared to the highest standards for use in Theatres, Wards, and other clinical departments.
Operate and maintain decontamination equipment in accordance with departmental protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety standards. Accurately record and maintain documentation relating to instrument processing and traceability. Assist with stock control and the safe storage of sterile items. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clinical teams to support service delivery. Driving duties (as required):
Transport sterile instruments and equipment between hospital sites or departments.
Ensure safe handling and secure delivery of items in line with HB policies.
