What You’ll Do
As a School Support Worker, you’ll help pupils feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting pupils’ learning and engagement in line with their needs
2. Encouraging pupils to achieve personal and academic goals
3. Promoting positive behaviour and social-emotional skills
4. Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
5. Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment
Who We’re Looking For
Essential:
6. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above, or ability to demonstrate equivalent skills
7. Strong spoken and written English
8. Passion for supporting children with additional needs
9. Calm, compassionate, proactive approach
10. Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desirable:
11. Experience in a school or SEN setting
12. Understanding of autism, SEMH, or trauma-informed practice
13. Willingness to learn and grow professionally
