Health and safety advisor - belfast

VANRATH are supporting a client delivering critical construction and asset management activity across a multi-site government estate in Belfast. You'll be joining an environment where safety assurance, contractor engagement and CDM compliance are central to delivering work safely-alongside regular reporting cycles and engagement with senior stakeholders. About you - Essential To be successful in this role, you'll have: NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent) or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum) Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation with practical experience applying CDM Proven experience in a Health & Safety role across construction, property or facilities management environments Experience conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments Ability to review RAMS / construction phase planning documentation and support contractor assurance Experience investigating incidents/near misses, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions Nice to have skills Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. IOSH), ideally working towards or holding Chartered status Trained Accident Investigator qualification Preferred education and experience Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable) Background in Health & Safety across construction/maintenance environments, particularly where CDM aligned activity is involved Other requirements Hybrid role based in Belfast (expect 2-3 days per week in the office) Ability to travel between sites as required for multi-site assurance activity Will be required to complete a Counter Terrorism check Be the person who turns safety requirements into safer delivery-apply now and take the next step with a role that rewards professionalism, clarity and genuine influence on site.
