Senior Chartered Estates Surveyor
Location: Exeter
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Are you an experienced Chartered Estates Surveyor looking for your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading property consultancy team delivering professional estate management and valuation services across the South West. With a strong forward order book and varied projects, you'll play a key role in shaping property strategies for public sector and local authority clients.
What You'll Do
1. Manage property acquisitions and disposals, including negotiation and compulsory purchase.
2. Handle leases, tenancies, licences, easements, and other property interests.
3. Oversee rent reviews, assignments, sub-lettings, and dilapidations.
4. Conduct valuations for insurance, capital, rental, and accounting purposes.
5. Prepare project estimates, appraisals, and planning applications.
6. Represent clients at inquiries, tribunals, appeals, and arbitration.
7. Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
What We're Looking For
8. Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
9. Degree or equivalent in an estates-related discipline.
10. Strong legal knowledge of landlord and tenant law, compulsory purchase, and valuation techniques.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with health and safety legislation.
12. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
13. Extensive experience in a similar role with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
