Depot Manager – Home Delivery
Hours: 09:00–17:30, Monday–Friday (flexibility required)
Salary: £40,000 p.a.

The Opportunity
The successful candidate will lead a customer-focused depot, driving performance, developing teams and creating an operation that consistently delivers quality and efficiency. This is a role for someone who wants impact, influence and the chance to leave a mark on a key site.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing daily depot operations to ensure smooth, compliant and on-time deliveries
* Leading drivers, warehouse teams and administrators to deliver strong KPI performance
* Managing a fleet of 14 vehicles with full DVSA, tachograph and safety compliance
* Taking responsibility for recruitment, coaching, development and performance management
* Using data and insight to drive operational improvement and efficiency
* Maintaining clear communication with senior leadership
* Embedding a robust safety culture and high standards of customer service
* Managing budgets, cost control and overall depot productivity
Ideal Experience
It goes without saying that our ideal candidate will have experience in transport, logistics or home delivery, supported by a CPC qualification. Confidence in decision-making is essential, along with calmness under pressure and strong communication skills.
Additional strengths include:
* Proven leadership and coaching ability with a people-first approach
* Strong understanding of fleet compliance, health & safety and delivery operations
* Analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem solving and process improvement
* Experience in two-person delivery, large-item logistics or retail operations is highly advantageous
