Overview
Mechanical Construction Engineer based at Hinckley Point C (HPC). Hinckley Point C will be a new nuclear power station in the UK. Once operational it will deliver 3.2 GW of carbon‑free electricity, powering 6 million homes, contributing to the UK Net Zero and strategic autonomy objectives. Arabelle Solutions participates in the HPC project by delivering 2 turbine islands on a turnkey basis, including design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of all power generating equipment of the conventional island, including the 1750 MW Arabelle turbine with the 75 inches last stage blade.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist the Construction Manager on site.
* Execute the defined strategy and develop associated tools for monitoring.
* Manage subcontractors and related technical aspects.
* Implement company rules on site and monitor activities.
* Act as a technical and operational interface with supervisors and subcontractors during execution.
* Implement LEAN tools.
* Serve as the technical reference within the function.
* Implement the detailed execution plan and schedule to ensure all work within the discipline is completed according to the overall project timeline.
* Liaise with engineering and procurement to ensure availability of documents and materials needed for site execution.
* Enforce company rules to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
* Implement Arabelle Solutions\' EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) policy and site-specific EHS plan. Inform employees and subcontractors about hazards, risks, and applicable mitigation measures.
* Participate in corrective and preventive actions to eliminate quality deviations and minimize financial impact for Arabelle Solutions.
* Ensure and maintain the creation of final quality documentation in line with work execution.
* Coordinate with other departments and services for the transition to commissioning.
* Resolve the punch list items.
* Ensure compliance with environmental prevention policies for activities that may have harmful effects.
* Ensure subcontractor assembly teams maintain safe and clean work areas and that all installed materials are properly preserved and protected.

* A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, ensuring a strong technical foundation.
* Proven experience in site construction execution and subcontractor management.
* In-depth knowledge of industrial mechanical installation and a general understanding of power plant systems, which will help you navigate complex technical environments.

* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
