People Business Partner - Employee Relations
Location: Lake District, Cumbria - office based
Salary: £34-38K plus excellent benefits package

About the Opportunity
Our client is an award-winning hospitality and leisure business operating a high-quality estate in the Lake District, with luxury hotel and self-catering accommodation alongside fitness, leisure, spa, restaurant and bar facilities.
They are now looking to appoint a People Business Partner - Employee Relations to join their established People team.
This is a key role supporting managers and employees across a busy, customer-focused environment, ensuring employee relations matters are handled with professionalism, consistency and care.
It will suit an HR professional with strong ER case management experience, a solid understanding of employment law, and the confidence to work closely with line managers in a fast-paced operational setting.
Key Requirements
You will bring:
* CIPD Level 5 qualification, or be working towards it
* At least 2 years' Employee Relations experience within hospitality or a similar fast-paced environment
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Experience managing complex ER cases with discretion and professionalism
* Strong capability across grievance, disciplinary, performance management and conflict resolution
* Confidence advising managers on policy, process and compliance
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build credibility across the business
* A proactive, organised and approachable working style
* High levels of integrity, empathy and confidentiality
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Acting as a main point of contact for employee relations matters across the business
* Supporting investigations into grievances, conduct issues and other workplace matters
* Advising managers on performance management, conflict resolution and wider ER issues
* Reviewing and improving ER policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice
* Supporting a positive workplace culture through effective communication and employee engagement activity
* Working closely with Talent Acquisition and Learning teams to support onboarding, training needs and policy alignment
* Maintaining accurate ER records and preparing reports for management review
* Supporting the Head of People & Culture with wider HR projects and initiatives
