GOSH Pharmacy have been on a transformation journey to modernise the Pharmacy Service and facilities to deliver expert care to our paediatric population. Working with the Outpatient Pharmacy Board, you will be the accountable officer on creation and ongoing maintenance of an independent Outpatient Pharmacy in preparation for the future developments including, but not limited to, the GOSH Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC).

We are looking for a highly skilled, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support our journey as we look forward to new ways of working, pushing digital boundaries and assuring a smooth transition of pharmaceutical care for our patients and families.

Main duties of the job

This role will involve direct management of an independent company budget, set up of commercial opportunities, ensuring a reportable forecast for the management board, and working across multiple services and across internal and external stakeholders. You will create a new Outpatient Pharmacy Team and operating model providing new opportunities for the wider profession within the specialist environment.

PLEASE NOTE: This role sits within the commercial Outpatient Pharmacy Service. While we are working towards offering access to the NHS Pension Scheme, this is not yet approved and therefore does not currently form part of the employment package. Further details will be available once approved.

Working for our organisation

We are keen to make our workforce as diverse as the communities we serve, and we hope to attract applications from underrepresented groups, including people with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic heritage, people with a disability, and people from LGBTQ+ communities. By growing an ever more diverse workforce, we’ll have a greater range of perspectives and knowledge, meaning that we can provide the children and young people at our hospital with even better care.

Our hospital is committed to creating an environment that is open and inclusive. Our staff are encouraged to engage with colleagues through the following networks: REACH (Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage) ENABLED (Enhancing Abilities & Leveraging Disabilities Network), PRIDE and Women’s networks; all of which are sponsored by a member of our Executive Management Team.
