The Role
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Salesperson to join our global payments team. The ideal candidate will bring an active client portfolio, deep expertise in alternative payment methods, and a strong understanding of the sales process from lead generation to closing and subsequent ongoing management of commercial relationships.
You will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing new clients across both regulated and high-risk sectors, leveraging your regional knowledge and technical understanding of payments.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow an active client portfolio across financial institutions, fintechs, and high-risk merchants (including gaming, FX brokers, and e-commerce platforms).
* Execute both inbound and outbound sales strategies, effectively managing leads through each stage of the sales funnel.
* Maintain accurate, detailed records of leads, activities, and deals within the company CRM system.
* Develop tailored proposals, commercial models, and client presentations showcasing Stream’s payments capabilities.
* Build and nurture relationships in at least two of the following regions: India, Athe frican continent, South America, Southeast Asia.
* Position Stream’s alternative payment offerings — including UPI, mobile money, and digital wallet integrations — to solve client challenges.
* Work cross-functionally with product, compliance, and operations teams to deliver end-to-end client solutions.
* Stay current with payment trends, regulatory developments, and new market opportunities across emerging economies.
Requirements
* Proven experience in payments, fintech, or financial services sales, ideally with exposure to high-risk verticals (gaming, FX, crypto, etc.).
* A strong, active client portfolio or a well-established network in the payment ecosystem.
* Understanding of alternative payment methods (UPI, mobile money, A2A, digital wallets, real-time payments).
* Strong regional expertise in at least two of: India, Africa, South America, or Southeast Asia.
* Fluent in English and one additional language: Russian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hindi, or Cantonese.
* Deep understanding of the sales funnel, including prospecting, qualification, conversion, and retention stages.
* Competent with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Monday.com) and disciplined in updating and tracking activity.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Exceptional organisation and time management — able to handle complex deal structures and multiple markets simultaneously.
* A balance of creative thinking (sales strategy, storytelling, brand positioning) and technical fluency (payment flows, APIs, compliance context).
* Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude — thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment. Able to make decisions and own the outcomes.
