Wood&work NI are looking a self employed carpenter to join the team.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Joiner, located in Newtownabbey. The Joiner will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpentry tools and power tools. Daily tasks include measuring, cutting, and shaping wood materials, assembling and framing structures, and performing finish carpentry work to ensure high-quality finishes. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential in this role.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Carpentry and Finish Carpentry
* Experience with Power Tools and Hand Tools
* Skills in Framing and assembling structures
* Strong attention to detail and precision
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant certifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are a plus
