The opportunity to work as a Permanent Contracts Manager based in Bristol with a well-established main contractor specializing in design, build, refurbishment, and refit projects within the commercial sector. This company has a reputable portfolio, working with branded hotels, restaurants, and bars across the UK. Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing multiple new build and refurbishment hotel projects in the South West, each lasting up to 22 weeks.
* Managing activities from inception to handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
* Leading project teams and managing supply chains to meet cost, time, and quality objectives.
* Coordinating with design, commercial, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Producing accurate reports and records.
* Surveying sites to mitigate issues and validate design viability.
* Ensuring customer expectations are met in build and finish.
* Managing subcontractors and direct labor forces.
* Providing labor costing to assess project feasibility and profitability.
Candidate requirements:
Minimum three years of experience as a construction contract manager, with a strong background in commercial fit-out, new build, and hospitality refurbishment projects. Valid SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certifications are essential. Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and in-depth construction knowledge are crucial for success.
