Purchasing Assistant
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum

Stafflex are proudly working with a growing local business to find an experienced Purchasing Assistant. This role reports to the Operations Manager and is placed within a growing operation. The Purchasing Assistant will support day-to-day procurement activity, with a strong focus on accuracy, and effective use of an MRP system.
The position is ideal for someone who's confident working in a process-driven environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can communicate well with internal teams and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raising, checking, and processing Purchase Orders (POs) accurately within the MRP systems, ensuring compliance with procedures.
2. Acting as a point contact for suppliers, maintaining preferred supplier information and resolving order-related queries.
3. Internal coordination; liaising with production, finance and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of goods and smooth flow of information.
4. Monitoring stock levels, tracking open orders, and coordinating deliveries.
5. Maintaining accurate purchase records, registers and documentation.
