Responsibilities
EYFS ETA Role Key Responsibilities
* Provide a range of stimulating learning activities for children in the pre-school and nursery
* Make observations of learning
* Provide personal care for children, including nappy changing and preparing snacks
* Liaise with parents
* Support high-quality interactions
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
* Encourage a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the classroom
* Collaborate with the Nursery Team to identify and address individual learning needs
* Observe and document progress and achievements of key worker children
* Maintain a safe and secure learning environment
* Respond promptly to emotional and physical needs of the children
* Implement and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures
* Deliver small-group activities with the support of the Nursery Leader
* Contribute to planning and organisation of classroom activities
SEND ETA Role Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and fostering an inclusive learning environment
* Provide personalised support to pupils in 1:1, small group and whole-class settings
* Help improve social, emotional, physical and cognitive learning, particularly for pupils with SEND
* Monitor identified children's progress, assist with individualised activities and report to the Nursery Leader and SENDCO
* Liaise with parents and class teachers to ensure effective SEND provision
* Administer medication where necessary and support health, hygiene and self-care needs
* Supervise children with identified needs during lunch times
* Support planning and preparation of personalised learning activities

* Excellent interpersonal skills with children and adults; able to model high standards of behaviour, patience and care
* Can tailor communication and engagement approaches to optimise learning and social engagement
* Can follow instructions and work on own initiative
* Has experience of supporting children with SEND
* Has genuine interest in pupil well-being and can foster a positive environment
* Has good literacy and numeracy, with experience improving outcomes academically, emotionally and socially
