This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, confident, and driven individual to work within the Trade Marketing Team of Monkfield Reptile, a well-established market leader in live food, reptiles and reptile products worldwide.
The Marketing and Communications Executive will be responsible for delivering an integrated marketing and communications plan to our trade customers. This role requires excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to prioritise effectively and adapt to the team's needs. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, creative and has great attention to detail Working closely with our brand teams and trade partners the team is responsible for translating our brand strategy into compelling B2B campaigns that drive distribution, increase shelf visibility, and engage our retail partners.
As a leading wholesaler and manufacturer of Everything Reptile, Monkfield Reptile offers innovative and market-leading products for the correct care of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Our three brands include Monkfield Nutrition, Arcadia and HabiStat.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to engage trade customers worldwide
* Manage and create content for various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
* Maintain the company websites (imagery and product data) and update content regularly to reflect current initiatives and products.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms.
* Monitor and analyse campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Collaborate with the sales team to support trade shows, events, and customer presentations.
* Handle public relations activities, including drafting press releases and managing media relationships.
* Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, such as brochures, newsletters, and promotional materials.
* Manage project timelines and ensure deliverables are met on schedule.
* Contribute ideas and strategies to enhance overall marketing efforts.

Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have following skills and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
* Two years' experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably within B2B environment.
* Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written communication and verbal skills.
* Adaptability - as this is a maternity cover, you need to be a "self-starter" who can hit the ground running and manage existing projects with minimal hand-holding.
* Experience with content management systems (CMS) and basic graphic design skills.
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., social media, email marketing, SEO, Canva, Adobe).
* Ability to analyse data and translate it into actionable insights.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
