What You'll Do Manage the general accounting function: drafting and implementing accounting procedures; support in implementing the accounting system.
Implement and execute controls and animate the monthly closing process.
Manage and navigate different accounting laws; Nigeria, UEMOA, Ghana, etc.
Provide financial analysis and reports on key performance indicators to support decision-making.
Lead and improve the drafting and updating of the company’s budget and provide monthly and quarterly reports to investors.
Identify opportunities to optimize assets and investments.
Collaborate with department heads to forecast revenue and expenses over the coming years.
Manage the company’s financial audits.
Manage relationships with key external stakeholders: auditors, banks, tax authorities.
What You Bring 3 to 5 years of experience managing and understanding the accounting & tax structures of various African countries.
Understanding of the African ecosystem.
Solid command of IFRS for SMEs.
Experience implementing accounting procedures in an early-stage environment or equivalent.
Design thinking mindset to approach problems creatively.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with both junior team members and senior leadership.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query), PowerPoint, & Power BI.
Bilingual in French and English.
