Offer description

Senior Administrator Integrated Discharge Service

The closing date is 28 May 2026.

Are you a strong team player, do you love working in a busy office environment and thrive on change? We are looking for a Senior Administrator role within the Integrated Discharge Service (IDS).

You will offer supervision to the existing administration assistants, ensuring that the team delivers a robust service. In addition you will undertake additional duties working closely with our system partners. Completion of internal and external reporting ensuring data integrity will be key to the role so extensive administrative experience is required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and adaptable individual. Knowledge of acute hospital discharge pathways and processes would be an advantage but not essential.

You will need to be able to remain calm under pressure as this is a very busy service and at times demanding. Therefore we require an individual who is well organised with a positive attitude towards flexibility and change, and an effective team player.

The hours of working are on a rotational basis between the hours of 8am to 5pm including weekends and bank holidays. Cross-site working may be required.

Main duties of the job

In your role, you will provide training, direct line management and supervision to the IDS administration team. You will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with Trust policies and procedures at all times.

You will offer guidance and support to the wider team across the Trust, contributing to the smooth operation of the Integrated Discharge Service and helping to ensure safe and timely patient discharges.

As part of your responsibilities you will ensure that administration assistants receive appropriate training and ongoing development, enabling the team to consistently deliver an excellent service.

Working closely with the IDS Hub administration lead, you will support robust service delivery and promote integrated working across health, social care and both acute and community services.

You will also play a key role in supporting national reporting, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring that all KPIs are consistently achieved or exceeded.

Using continuous improvement methodology, you will identify and implement appropriate service improvements, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the service.

About us

Working with us will give you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients and staff.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet new people, learn about working for an acute Trust, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills and enhance your career path.
