Are you a skilled vehicle technician with experience working on heavy goods vehicles?
We are looking for a seasoned Vehicle Technician, ideally with NVQ level in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance or equivalent skills gained through experience. If you have experience within Municipal this would also be desirable.
Due to business growth, we have a rare opportunity to join a small working team in our workshop in Preston where all vehicles are emptied, washed and prepared before entering workshops and there is a strong focus on creating an excellent working environment.
About The Role
Location: Preston
1. Salary £54,002.67 per annum / £23.00 per hour
2. Monday to Friday
3. 45 hours per week
4. 06.30 – 16.00 (negotiable)
5. Overtime available x1.5 & x2, plus day in lieu for Bank Holidays
6. Full PPE Provided
7. 4 weeks holiday (rising each year you're with us) plus 8 days Bank holidays.
What will I be doing?
Your job will be to maintain our fleet – a task that will see you working with diverse vehicle technology and sophisticated ancillary equipment. With 5,000 people working across 300 locations, SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is a substantial national business. We have a fleet of over 1,500 vehicles. Day to day you will:
8. Carry out service, maintenance and repair of all types of vehicles and equipment
9. Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
10. Prepare and carry out MOT
11. Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to

What are the requirements?
12. Demonstrate proven experience and knowledge of repairing and maintaining vehicles
13. HGV licence class 1 or class 2 an advantage but not necessary and opportunities for HGV licences possible
14. Inspection training/IRTEC accreditation an advantage but can be provided.
15. Hydraulics and pneumatics are an advantage but training can be provided if required
16. HGV licence class 1 or class 2 an advantage but not necessary and opportunities for HGV licences possible
17. You must be able to inspect vehicles to the DVSA standards and above
