Role Overview
The Relief Centre Manager will support our commercial operational teams across Essex's nature discovery centres. We operate ten visitor centres that serve as gateways to nature reserves and offer retail, food, and beverage services. This role involves providing cover for Centre and Assistant Managers, supervising teams of staff and volunteers to ensure an outstanding visitor experience.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in commercial operations within catering, café, retail, or hospitality sectors.
* People management experience.
* Strong administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Ability to travel across Essex to provide relief cover at various centres.

Contract Details
This is a fixed-term contract until April 2026, 22.5 hours per week, with a salary of £17,903.93 per annum (£29,839.89 FTE). Centre operating hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Relief cover may be required on weekends and bank holidays, with some flexibility needed for short-notice requests.
