Role: Contracts Administrator
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Chesterton, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST5 6BN
Visits to other projects around the country, initially to our London sites, will be required as deemed necessary.
Pay: Competitive salary available subject to candidates experience and skill set.
Working hours: 8:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required to accommodate role commitments including journeys to our sites.

Thorp Precast are a forward thinking construction business with a passion for quality and innovation. We specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke architectural precast concrete cladding and structures.
Due to an exceptionally strong forward workload we are looking to strengthen our existing head office and site teams. The role will require a practical and committed approach, which can only be achieved by structured organisational skills, teamwork and excellent communication skills.
The job purpose is:
· To assist in the preparation of any scheme details/required Method Statements or the like.
· To arrange for preparation of and monitor the internal control documents e.g. information required, information release etc., RAMS, Target Erection Sequences, Delivery Programmes and co-ordinate with contract programme.
· To update and monitor the site diary, technical drawings and technical documents.
· To order and monitor MEWPs and plant for site, fixings, brackets and cast ins to the correct strength and grade.
· To assume responsibility for the Site Managers and co-ordinate their activities with other Contracts Managers/other internal and external resources.
· Book inductions and visitors in on various contractor portals.
· Booking training for site teams and installers.
· Booking site panel deliveries and other deliveries onto the booking portals.
The ideal candidate will:
· Ideally have previous experience in a similar role within specialist construction contracting environment
· Maintain a proactive approach and build relationships with suppliers.
· Good negotiations skills to get the best deals
· Have strong attention to detail
· Have the ability to multi-task and prioritise
· Have the ability to work well within a team and liaise with thewider company team
· Have the ability to work to deadlines and multi-task
· Be proficient in using Excel
· Be willing to learn, take ownership of tasks and see them through to resolution
