Join to apply for the Genesis Future Curator (Exhibitions) role at Royal Academy of Arts
The Vacancy
The Royal Academy of Arts is partnering with the Genesis Foundation to recruit the second cohort of the Genesis Future Curator Programme, a two-year trainee programme. Two positions are available, offering a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive insight into the life of a Curator at the RA, along with broader organizational knowledge.
Genesis Future Curator – Exhibitions
This role is within our Exhibitions Team, responsible for planning, curating, and managing the installation and de-installation of exhibitions. The successful candidate will initially work alongside a line manager on specific projects and gradually take on more independent responsibilities, including exhibitions at various development stages, such as the upcoming survey exhibition Kerry James Marshall: The Histories and A Story of South Asian Art: Mrinalini Mukherjee and her Circle.
About You
Applicants should have an arts-related degree and a strong desire to learn. Excellent communication skills, fluency in written English, and the ability to produce compelling text are essential. Attention to detail, organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work under pressure are also required.
We encourage applicants to consider which of the two available positions aligns more closely with their interests and to apply for only one role.
