Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we'd like you to be available to work - the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. As a Shift Leader, you'll:
* Work in a fast-paced retail environment with variety
* Take ownership of duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store
* Assist customers and ensure they leave satisfied
* Improve service through coaching and feedback
* Support colleagues, ensuring a safe working and shopping environment
* Understand store performance and help implement improvements
* Lead by example in everything you do

Responsibilities include:
* Coordinate store team for a smooth shopping experience
* Support colleagues in daily priorities and breaks
* Open and close the store, ensuring safety decisions
* Act as the point of contact in the absence of a manager
* Maintain store cleanliness and presentation
* Support seasonal, community, and charity events
* Promote an inclusive team atmosphere
* Deliver excellent customer service
* Keep the team informed of updates
* Monitor store performance and seek operational improvements
* Manage store improvements and obstacles
* Follow health and safety routines
* Recognize colleagues providing great service
Minimum requirements:
* Be a role model with thoughtful customer service
* Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues
* Communicate clearly using various methods
* Take the lead and oversee the store in the absence of a Manager
* Make good decisions and handle change flexibly
* Motivate your team to exceed expectations
* Be curious and seek continuous improvement
