Groundworks & Pipeline Laying Contractor (Water Sector) We are a growing and well-established groundworks and pipeline laying contractor operating exclusively within the water sector. We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager / Contracts Manager to join our team. The Role This position plays a vital role in supporting site supervisors and the commercial team to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. The role will be primarily office-based or home-based, with regular site visits of up to two sites per day. Key Responsibilities * Supporting site supervisors with daily site and operational tasks * Attending and leading client, internal, and subcontractor meetings * Updating and maintaining project plans and programmes * Assisting with traffic management plans and coordination * Ordering materials and managing supplier call-offs * Monitoring and reporting daily site labour levels * Supporting the commercial team with project details, records, and decision-making * Maintaining clear communication between office staff, site teams, and clients * Helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget Minimum Qualifications & Requirements * SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – essential * CSCS (relevant management-level card) – essential * First Aid at Work – essential * Proven experience working within the water sector (this is mandatory) * Background in groundworks and pipeline laying projects * Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously * Confident working independently from the office or home What We Offer * Flexible working arrangement (office and/or home based) * Varied and responsible role within a growing business * Supportive team environment * Competitive salary, dependent on experience If you are an experienced Project Manager or Contracts Manager with a strong background in water sector groundworks and pipelines, we would like to hear from you
