Overview
Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based in Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The post holder will join a team of five other consultants in reproductive medicine. The post holder will be subspecialist trained in reproductive medicine and have a wide experience in assisted conception procedures and management of couples of varying complexity undergoing IVF treatment. The postholder is expected to be aware of the regulatory requirements of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA).
Responsibilities
* The post is a substantive consultant position in Reproductive Medicine.
* Contribute to the management of assisted conception procedures and IVF treatment for couples with varying levels of complexity.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (HFEA).
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Assisted Conception Unit at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.
* Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
