Locum Prison Cleared Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) / Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
Sanctuary Personnel is looking for an experienced Prison Cleared Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a prison healthcare service on a locum basis. This role is ideal for ACPs and ANPs seeking flexibility, excellent pay, and the opportunity to develop skills in a unique setting.
Contract Details
* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract Type: Ongoing locum
* Hours: 07:30 – 20:15 (unpaid breaks included)
* IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Pay Rates
* Weekdays – £55.99 per hour
* Saturdays & Nights – £58.27 per hour
* Sundays – £60.51 per hour
Key Responsibilities
As a Prison Cleared ACP/ANP, you will:
* Carry out patient assessments and clinical reviews.
* Prescribe safely and effectively within your scope of practice.
* Respond to urgent and emergency calls in a prison healthcare environment.
* Manage acute and chronic illnesses, including minor ailments and injuries.
* Support patients with mental health needs, substance misuse issues, and long-term conditions.
* Deliver evidence-based primary care services.
* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary prison healthcare teams.
* Promote health education, prevention, and self-care initiatives.
* Document patient care accurately in line with professional standards.
* Contribute to safeguarding, risk management, and clinical governance.
* Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to junior staff when required.
Requirements
* MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or Advanced Nurse Practice.
* Independent Prescriber qualification and RCGP Part 1.
* Primary care or urgent care experience.
* Valid ILS certification and up-to-date MAST training.
* Current prison clearance.
