The role
Due to continued growth, our Oxford office is looking to appoint a senior level Building Surveyor to play a key role within our Energy Consultancy team, working alongside engineers, project managers and CAD technicians. This is a senior technical and delivery-focused role, combining traditional professional Building Surveying services with specialist work in the energy and utilities sectors. You will lead complex commissions, manage client relationships, and support the development of junior surveyors, while remaining hands-on and project focused.

Responsibilities
7. Deliver high-quality professional Building Surveying services across commercial, educational and industrial sectors.
8. Lead and manage complex projects.
9. Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams.
10. Provide senior technical input and problem solving on complex projects.
11. Support and mentor graduates and junior surveyors.
12. Ensure compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements.
Requirements
13. Degree in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline
14. Strong experience of team leading, mentoring and people management
15. Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership
16. Proficient in Microsoft Packages
17. Strong experience delivering traditional Building Surveying services
18. Strong experience in managing projects
19. Experienced in business development and client management skills
20. Good understanding of construction technology, contracts and cost control
21. Confident, client-facing professional
22. Experience in complex building pathology, major project administration and / or high stakes dispute resolution / expert advisory services
23. Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety (CDM regulations, and fire safety in relation to construction design and implementation projects
24. Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle for work related travel
