About the opportunity: The services and propositions we design are integral to our customers\' lives, and this role focuses on their entire experience – at every life stage, across all touchpoints. You\'ll lead designs through every stage of the process, from concept through to production, shaping how we engage and build relationships with customers and guiding them to the right solutions for evolving needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead design in one of our platforms, inspiring and guiding designers and researchers to be creative with the customer at the heart of thinking.
* Coach and develop a growing Design team of 20–30 people, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
* Shape and deliver customer experiences with data analysts, behavioural scientists and other specialists, spanning strategy formation, concept development and design delivery.
* Partner with product owners, business analysts, engineers and senior leaders to take ideas from concept to implementation.
* Shape and implement the design strategy, including leading major strategic initiatives and influencing proposition and business teams on a day-to-day basis.
* Work with research teams to understand financial circumstances of differing customer segments and identify next best actions or decisions.
* Understand end-to-end customer experience design to help customers navigate the financial ecosystem and align with business priorities.
* Demonstrate resilience and act as a role model for the advancement of experience design across the business.
* Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through formal development and mentoring across the organisation.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Proven ability to lead a large, multi-disciplinary design team (20–30 people) and manage design decision-making and delivery.
* Experience shaping design strategy and influencing senior leaders to prioritise customer value in decision-making.
* Strong collaboration with research, product, engineering and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end experiences.
* Knowledge of design thinking within a business and engineering context, with a holistic approach to product development and transformation programs.
* Excellent stakeholder management and ability to foster cross-functional relationships.
* Resilience and coaching capability to grow design talent across the organisation.
