SEN Teaching Assistant - Leicester

Location: Leicester Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Contract: Full-time | Long-term (potential for permanent placement)About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs-such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs or learning difficulties-helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN
* Using tailored strategies to remove learning barriers
* Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo
* Assisting with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
* Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils
* Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting children with SEN (school or care setting)
* A calm, nurturing and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Reliability and a genuine passion for inclusive education
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness) is beneficial but not essential
