Job Description: Minibus Driver
We are seeking a professional Minibus Driver to operate a scheduled service to the highest standards for our client. The role involves working Monday to Friday on a split shift basis: 07:00-11:00 and 15:45-19:15.
Responsibilities
1. Operate as part of the Minibus driving team in an operational role.
2. Deliver and collect passengers from various locations as designated by the client, adhering to the scheduled routes and times.
3. Follow all relevant road traffic laws, comply with the client’s mobile phone policy, and communicate any delays to the service when safe to do so.
4. Perform daily vehicle inspections, report defects, and ensure safety procedures are followed in case of accidents or near misses.
5. Complete administrative tasks and respond to customer inquiries professionally and promptly.
6. Participate actively in training, development, and self-learning initiatives.
7. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation at all times.
8. Report hazards through the correct channels and ensure safety measures are implemented.
9. Promote and uphold the CBRE RISE values.
10. Undertake any other reasonable tasks or requests from management or the client.
Accountabilities
* Report daily to the Facilities Coordinator.
* Report to the CBRE FM and Contract Manager.
* Be accountable to CBRE functional heads as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
Hold a current, clean UK Driving Licence with the following categories:
* D1 – full entitlement with no restrictions (e.g., code 78 or 101)
* D – full bus/coach entitlement
Additionally, possess a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC):
* Initial Qualification: If the driver passed their test after 10 September 2008, they must have completed the Initial DCPC qualification and hold the corresponding card.
* Acquired Rights: Drivers holding a full category D, D1, D+E, or D1+E licence as of 10 September 2008 must complete 35 hours of periodic training before 10 September 2013 and continue ongoing training every five years to retain their CPC. Note that certain licences, such as those restricted to non-hire or reward driving, are not suitable for professional driving roles.
