Job Title: Bid & Compliance LeadLocation: StockportSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Open to negotiation)Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pmEmployment Type: Permanent, On-SiteRole overviewAn established UK-based specialist contractor is seeking a Bid & Compliance Lead to take ownership of the company's compliance framework and bid coordination activities.This is a hands-on role responsible for managing the Integrated Management System (IMS), maintaining audit readiness, and coordinating compliant, evidence-based tender submissions across public and private sector clients. The role works closely with operational teams and senior management to ensure systems, processes and documentation remain current, robust and effective.Key responsibilitiesBids & FrameworksMonitor tender portals and identify relevant public and private sector opportunitiesCoordinate bid and framework submissions, including managing timelines, clarifications and portal uploadsDraft, tailor and quality-check written tender responses against client requirements and scoring criteriaCoordinate technical and evidential inputs from internal departments and senior managementMaintain bid libraries including standard responses, CVs, case studies and project evidenceTrack framework renewals and upcoming tender opportunitiesRecord bid outcomes, feedback and lessons learned to support continuous improvementCompliance & Management SystemsOwn and maintain the company's Integrated Management System, including:ISO 9001 (Quality)ISO 14001 (Environmental)ISO 45001 (Health & Safety)Coordinate internal audits and manage corrective actions to completionPrepare evidence packs for external audits, accreditations and certification renewalsSupport and coordinate management review meetings, including reporting and actionsManage non-conformances, incidents and improvement actions, ensuring issues are investigated and closed outMaintain compliance documentation including training records, licences, insurances and statutory recordsSupport environmental and waste compliance, including duty of care and sustainability evidenceEnsure controlled documents remain current, approved and communicatedExperience and skillsPrevious experience in a Bid, Compliance, Quality, IMS or Governance rolePractical working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (lead or internal auditor experience desirable)Experience coordinating or contributing to technical, evidence-led tender submissionsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesConfident working across departments to obtain information and evidenceClear written communication skills with attention to detailComfortable operating at both operational and management levelBenefitsSalary: Competitive, dependent on experience25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysDiscretionary annual bonus based on company performanceDeath in service benefit (subject to underwriting and successful completion of probation)Inclusion in the company's permanent health insurance scheme (subject to underwriting and successful completion of probation)
