We are supporting a major rail organisation with a contract opportunity for an experienced Retail Transformation Manager / Programme Manager. The successful contractor will step directly into the role, ensuring continuity across the team and maintaining momentum across a high volume of in‑flight projects and business activity. Key Responsibilities Full cover for the Retail Transformation Manager / Programme Manager role Managing and coordinating multiple in‑flight projects simultaneously Acting as a key liaison with the wider Programme Manager function Line management and oversight of five contractors within the Retail Transformation team Ownership of delivery, priorities, risks, and dependencies across workstreams Acting as the main interface with the PMO Ownership of governance, reporting, and programme assurance Reporting directly into senior project sponsors Managing senior stakeholders across internal teams and external partners Participation in regular industry and management calls Close alignment with Revenue Protection activity, ensuring controls and priorities are maintained Experience Required / Desired Strong Programme or Senior Project Management experience Background in rail, transport, or similarly complex operational environments Experience across retail ticketing, PAYG, fares, or validation Revenue Protection experience highly desirable Transport authority experience desirable Comfortable managing contractors and stepping into an established senior role Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Please click here to find out more about our Key Information Documents.
