We are seeking a talented IT Technical Analyst to join our Systems/Information Technology team within the Cummins Drivetrain & Braking Systems Business Unit in Cwmbran, Gwent, United Kingdom.
In this role, you will:
1. Provide hands-on and remote IT support for desktop devices, IT infrastructure, and manufacturing systems at the Meritor-Cummins UK site in Cwmbran, with occasional visits to Redditch.
2. Manage and resolve IT service requests and incidents efficiently, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation in the Incident Management system.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, following department standards and best practices to meet customer expectations.
4. Maintain and manage service assets and configuration items, ensuring accurate records to support service management processes.
5. Interface with customers, prioritize IT support based on site importance and business criticality, and guide users to the correct tools and processes for IT requests.
6. Ensure all IT work follows proper procedures, including service desk tickets, project tasks, and Change Management processes.
7. Support and contribute to the identification and design of business and IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
8. Lead small IT projects or initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Strong technical knowledge across IT service lines, with expertise in areas such as Desktop Support, Manufacturing IT, Networking, or Application Hosting.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills focusing on efficiency, continuous improvement, and adherence to Cummins standards.
3. The ability to work independently, following instructions to execute deliverables while managing multiple tasks and projects.
4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate and engage with stakeholders.
5. A quick learner with the ability to analyze and understand business and technical processes to provide effective IT support and solutions.
Qualifications include:
* A college, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or relevant experience.
* Intermediate level of relevant work experience.
