Job Overview
We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Service Engineer / Service Technician to join our growing service team.
This is a field-based role involving the servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of customer systems, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
You will work both independently and as part of a supportive team, covering customer sites within your allocated area.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing and reactive maintenance
* Diagnose and repair system faults
* Commission equipment following training
* Represent the business professionally on customer sites
* Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
* Use mobile devices and systems for job management
* Deliver high standards of customer care
* Participate in the on-call rota
* Work closely with senior engineers and management
Requirements
* Previous experience in a service, maintenance, or engineering role (preferred)
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Confident using smartphones, tablets, and laptops
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Understanding of British Standards (desirable)
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally
Essential Certifications
* FIA (Fire Industry Association) Certification
* Honeywell Certificate of Completion (or equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable (Not Essential)
* ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) Card
* Asbestos Awareness Training
* Manual Handling Training
* Enhanced DBS Clearance
