Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has a rich history dating back to 1908. Birkenhead Kindergarten is one of our vibrant kindergarten, offering a nurturing and inclusive environment where tamariki can thrive through play-based learning.

As a permanent part time (20 hours), qualified ECE Kaiako, you'll play a pivotal role in:
5. Creating a fun and engaging learning environment: You'll design and deliver play-based experiences that nurture early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
6. Championing bicultural practices: Te Whāriki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, will guide your teaching philosophy as you celebrate the unique cultures within our kindergarten.
7. Collaborating with a supportive team: We foster a collaborative spirit, and you'll work alongside passionate educators who share your dedication to early childhood education.
8. Integrating technology seamlessly: You'll embrace technology as a tool to enhance children's learning and ignite their curiosity.
We're looking for someone who:
9. Possesses an ECE teaching qualification & current first aid certificate with a genuine love for early childhood education.
10. Thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.

12. Is a skilled relationship builder with strong planning and assessment expertise.
13. Embraces technology as a tool for learning.
