Job Summary:
This is a broad-spectrum Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional position that provides technical and professional support services to operations staff, with guidance and direction from the Senior EHS Manager. It is an on-the-floor (high visibility/floor presence) position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage environmental permitting to ensure all required permits are current and properly managed.
2. Coordinate the facility's Risk Management Program (RPM) and Process Safety Management (PSM) for Anhydrous Ammonia.
3. Oversee all environmental regulatory programs, including air, stormwater, wastewater, waste disposal, energy and water usage, and sustainability reporting.
4. Maintain a compliance calendar and report on the status of environmental programs and permits.
5. Identify opportunities to optimize energy and water usage and minimize waste, managing related tracking and projects.
6. Update and implement the plant's Integrated Contingency Plan.
7. Represent the site on the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
8. Provide training to employees regarding environmental programs and permits.
9. Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and understanding of environmental aspects.
10. Support other projects and duties within the EHS department as needed.
Education and Experience:
* BA/BS in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field; 3-5 years of experience preferred.
* Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
* Experience in manufacturing, especially food & beverage, is a plus.

Physical and Additional Requirements:
* Ability to work in a factory environment, including walking, climbing, and standing for long periods.
* Willingness to wear PPE and carry weights up to 50 lbs.
* Availability to work odd hours and travel occasionally.
