Date posted: 8 May 2026Pay: £50,000.00 per yearJob Description:CAP Engineer Powered Access IndustryWe are currently recruiting for an experienced CAP Engineer (Competent Assessed Person) to join our team within the powered access industry on a full-time basis.Working hours:Monday to Friday4050 hours per weekOvertime availableSalary & Benefits:£50,000 per yearPaid overtime availableStable, full-time positionRole OverviewA CAP Engineer is an IPAF-authorised, highly competent professional responsible for the planning, management, and completion of statutory inspections on powered access equipment. This role represents the highest level of inspection competence within the powered access sector.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out thorough statutory inspections of MEWPs, MCWPs, and construction hoistsEnsuring full compliance with LOLER and relevant safety regulationsPlanning, managing, and conducting inspections beyond standard servicing and maintenanceAssessing machine safety, identifying defects, and ensuring corrective actions are completedMaintaining accurate inspection records and certification documentationWorking closely with engineering and operations teams to uphold safety standardsRequirements:Previous experience in a similar CAP Engineer role within the powered access industry is essentialValid IPAF CAP certification and IPAF PAL Card essentialTypically 4+ years experience working with powered access equipmentStrong mechanical, electrical, and fault-finding knowledgeExcellent understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and industry compliance standardsAbility to work independently with a high level of responsibilityThis is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified CAP Engineer to join a respected operation within the powered access, rental, and construction industries, offering strong pay, stability, and overtime opportunities.#INDR1Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In personTPBN1_UKTJ
