Podiatrists - Diabetes Foot Protection Service
Join to apply for the Podiatrists - Diabetes Foot Protection Service role at NHS North East London. We are recruiting band 5 podiatrists with an interest in diabetic foot protection. We are looking for clinical staff who are passionate about the care they give to patients and who want to make a real difference in diabetic foot care.
Responsibilities
* Provide evidence-based, comprehensive assessment, review and treatment within the Diabetes Foot Protection Service (FPS) for the local population at moderate and high risk.
* Work within agreed local care pathways, codes of practice and professional standards, embedding Clinical quality guidelines.
* Deliver specialist and complex podiatry care for a range of acute and chronic foot pathologies within community settings; develop care programmes and implement treatment plans using strong assessment, diagnostic and communication skills.
* Support new graduates and provide mentorship to enable professional development within diabetic and high-risk pathways.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Band 5 Podiatrist with interest in diabetic foot protection.
* Willingness to engage in dedicated training and development in the chosen specialty.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and adopt a flexible, blended approach to working, including rotational opportunities.
* Evidence of registration and eligibility to work in the UK; references from most recent employer, with at least one from direct Line Manager or Supervisor.
Additional Information
* Probationary period applies (internal applicants may be exempt under certain conditions).
* Starting induction and onboarding process includes a comprehensive two-week induction with mandatory training; induction location: NELFT head office, Rainham, Essex.
* High Cost Area Supplement Outer London: 15% of basic salary (minimum £4,714; maximum £5,941).
* Certificates of Sponsorship: We are a registered sponsor organisation but may not sponsor all roles. Check eligibility under UKVI points-based system.
