Job Description - Housing Concierge (251151)
Location: Cramlington, Northumberland – across local services
Pay: £12.60 per hour (salary £24,638 pa [pro rata]) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan
About the Role:
We’re looking for new Supported Housing Concierges to join our growing teams. At Home Group, we support vulnerable customers, including those with complex care needs. Your role will be to ensure our customers' safety, maintain secure and pleasant buildings, and foster good relations with neighbors.
Typical Shift:
* This role involves more than just night security; it’s active and engaging.
* You will be the first line of support for our customers when other support networks are unavailable.
* Manage health and safety by patrolling, checking fire doors, and ensuring security.
* Respond to situations on the spot, such as investigating suspicious activity or raising alarms.
* Assist with maintaining cleanliness and tidiness, including manual tasks like cleaning.

You Bring:
* Calmness under pressure and excellent communication skills
* Experience supporting vulnerable populations, possibly from public service or military backgrounds
* Sociability, curiosity about people, and attention to behavioral changes
* Confidence in intervening sensitively when needed
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with support from wider teams including out-of-hours emergency support

Job Details:
* Two-week rolling rota
* Regular daytime team meetings and training
* Use of technology for CCTV monitoring, record updates, and H&S compliance
* Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by us)
